LEAVING ON A JE- 'er make that an Amtrak Train

My boys left last Tuesday night on a wonderful trip! They went with their Aunt Tara to PA to visit their Great Grandmother. I was a nervous wreck at first tho, just wanted them to get through the train ride, now I'm fine, lol Although I miss them like crazy! They have been real good about calling me, I haven't called them at all, I know they are in good hands, they are with Aunt Tara, Grandma Betty, Grandma & Papa...they are safe & sound, and very loved right now!

My little *runner*

LOL I am saying that with a snort/laugh at the same time! The boy's school has a jogging club. They meet every Thursday afternoon and run around the perimeters of the playground & PE field. So many times around equals a mile.

Griffey ran over 25 miles during the year, so he got a medal. I have to chuckle tho, because I am not sure how he managed to *run* that many miles. His best friends brother, Chase, is in Kindergarten and ran over 50+ miles and Griffey laughed and said he didn't know how Chase managed that since he was with him most of the time, and everyone knew he was there just to talk....LOL

Yup, you think he's my kid? HAHA

I'm getting sad!

It's almost here. Reese's sixth grade graduation. I had to take pictures of the entire sixth grade class for their invitations the other day. Wow. It's almost here.

I know you think "why is she stressing over a sixth grade graduation"? Well, because this means he's no longer a kid...he's on the verge of being a teenager. I didn't give birth to one of those, LOL

If I let myself think about it, I get all sad & teary eyed. Boy, think how I'm going to be one year from now? Griffey will be in sixth grade and he's my baby. Great...I can already plan ahead for my depressive states, LOL

My Dare Devil!

Griffey is such a dare devil! Most people would watch him and cringe, I guess I did in the beginning, now I simply take pictures and laugh!

We went to a friends Birthday party yesterday, and in the pool Griffey was *surfing*, and while I was laughing and snapping pictures, it didn't dawn on my until I LOOKED at the pictures that he could have smacked his head on the side of the pool! *GULP*

Make Wise Choices

I started that little saying last year with Reese when he was in fifth grade. Of course I know I didn't make it up, but I started saying it to him because this was the year he refused to kiss me in front of his friends, or say goodbye when I took him to school. You know, he was growing up, and Mom is not cool past a certain age, well, most Mom's aren't, I am, but he doesn't quite see it that way! LOL

Anyway, it seemed to become a *catch phrase* for the fifth grade, I still have his classmates come up to me and say that, and I even had it put in the yearbook that will be coming out this year, since that is the class that is graduating from our school this year!

And this leads me to Griffey, who almost DIDN'T make a wise choice yesterday, but thank goodness his teacher was one of Reese's fifth grade teachers last year and knew my catch phrase! HAHA

In this class the students get tickets for different things, and on Friday the teacher pulls so many tickets and they get a choice of a soda, or five extra credit points on a social studies test.

Griffey's ticket got pulled. Of course he wanted the soda. His teacher asked him again if he thought that was the best choice. Yes, he thought it was and said he still wanted the soda. His teacher asked him again, and said "you know, you only have one more test this grading period, and the last one wasn't so hot...do you still want that soda?", of course he still wanted that soda! Then his teacher swung into action (I LOVE THIS MAN) and pulled the Mom card!!! LOL He said "you still want that soda, even if you know I will be talking your Mom right after school? Don't you think you should make a wise choice?"

He chose the 5 extra credit points! LOL

They got a new CUZ!

The boy's got a new baby cousin today! Avianna was born this morning, ten minutes after their bell rang for school! They were so excited after school when I showed them the picture, and we had to drive straight to the hospital to see her! Of course she's too little now to be much fun for them, but I have to say that they really did seem to really enjoy just sitting and holding her!

I love that the boy's have their cousins all living right here near them, they see them often and that is great! Growing up I had to wait until the summer to see mine, so I'm kinda jealous of my guys;)
